This is the first entry in Byteweb Insights, the studio’s notes channel. We have wanted a place to publish opinions — clearly sourced, plainly argued — for a while. Here it is.
What we will write about
Three things, mostly. First, AI in production: what actually ships versus what gets demoed, and where the interesting seams are for European teams. Second, custom software: architecture, delivery cadence, and the unglamorous decisions that decide whether a build is loved or rewritten. Third, the DACH market itself — how the Mittelstand, GDPR, the EU AI Act and Swiss engineering culture shape what good technology looks like here.
What we will not do
No content-calendar filler. No “10 trends for Q3” posts. No anonymised case studies dressed up as proof. If we cannot show our work, we will not publish. If we are unsure, we will say so.
How this connects to the studio
Byteweb is an AI-native studio from the DACH region. We run fixed-price engagements — a free scoping sprint, then a written quote, then weekly delivery. These notes are an extension of that: the same opinions we bring into a scoping call, written down so you can read them before you decide to talk to us.
If something here lands, or clashes with what you are seeing in your own team, write to us at hello@byteweb.io. We reply to every real message.
